As A River, Not A Lake

I have just been listening to a sermon by Pastor Bill Johnson, a great man of God who is at the cutting edge of what the Lord is doing in these last days. In this instance, he was speaking of how the children of God are called to be carryer's of the presence and kindness of God.

We are called to be His vessels wherever we go. We are to be as rivers through whome the Holy Spirit can wash away hurts in others, melt hearts hardened by frustration and religion, and bring hope where there was none. Such things cannot be faked. Only through intimacy with Christ, with communion of our spirits with His Spirit, and in the freedom of childlikeness can we do such wondrous things. As we let ourselves be loved by the One who has held nothing back, we are empowered to be rivers of Life and healing and salvation to the lost.

I know I can't love or be loved in my own strength! An admittance of this is the basis of humility, and the gateway to ministry that refreshes.

Much blessing, Kym.
